Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the Sprout iOS app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not, please delete the app.

Who may use Sprout

Sprout is made for young children to use with a grown-up. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and supervise your use of the app. A grown-up must be the one who makes any purchase.

What you may do

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sprout on devices you own or control, for your own family's use. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app or its content, including its letterform data, illustrations and recorded audio.

Subscriptions

• Sprout is a subscription app. The introduction is free to go through, including the first letter your child writes at the end of it; the lessons, the numbers and the words need an auto-renewing subscription.
• Two plans are offered, monthly and yearly. Both give the same access.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription before the trial ends.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country.

Refunds

All purchases are handled by Apple, and refunds are at Apple's discretion under the App Store terms. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

What Sprout is and is not

Sprout is a handwriting practice app. It is not a diagnostic tool, an assessment, or a substitute for teaching, and nothing in it is medical, educational or developmental advice. Children learn to write at very different ages and in very different ways. If you are concerned about your child's writing, speak to their teacher or doctor.

Availability

We aim to keep Sprout working and to keep improving it, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Sprout is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

Sprout collects no personal information. See the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top, and continuing to use the app means you accept them.
